This stone was first purchased rough from a stone collector in Antique who said this turqouise is a powerful stone and seldom could be found in the rivers where he would search more of his collections. So to preserve its beauty, I decided to cut and polished it and ended up with such nice cabochon..  It seems to me though that the stone is worth more than its natural  beauty, I thought of setting it into a pendant with pure silver. The outcome is what you see now. 

The stone is greenish blue with luster slightly lesser than an agate when polished.  Elegant necklace for a beautiful you! 

Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man’s history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. Stone History

On one of my local travels in Africa, I was able to meet few friends who were selling stones. This was attached in a white marble stone. It was big enough but not of facet quality so I decided to cut it into a cabochon but in order to save the good portion of the stone, I decided to cut it into a free-form following the good part. Luckily, i ended up making a pyramid!  The bright color glows from inside and around the base you can still see the streaks and hazy part. The pink color is deep which makes the stone looks appealing.  The way the stone is set is recyclable into a ring or pendant in case you opt to change later.

The Journey Behind

The item is a natural and genuine pinkish Ruby originally mined, cut and polished in Tanzania, East Africa. I personally cut and polished the stone into a  cabochon when I was living in Africa.  The stone did not undergo any kind of treatment to appear nice and flawless therefore you can still see some tiny streaks  on closer look. The stone is set in pure silver.  What you see in the stone is basically its natural color as it was mined.

Ruby is a corundum family in pinkish to pigeon red color. Corundum in other colors apart from Red-Pinkish red is referred to as Sapphire. The African Ruby is lighter in hue than the Rubies found in Asia so sometimes it is also called Pink Sapphire. 

Ruby is the birthstone for the month of July.

My Own Ruby Ring

I wear a Ruby ring for several years now because someone told me that the stone has innate power to hinder negative forces in entering your life so you feel more relaxed, and confident because no matter how difficult the situation is, you are able to overcome it with the right attitude and outlook. Success seems easy to come it seems. I no wonder why the ancient people use it as a powerful charm.

It might not be true but as for me, it works and so I have two stones in my fingers, the Tanzanite as my birthstone for December ( rare blue stone originally from the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro) and my lovely tiny Winza Star Ruby.

STONE HISTORY

This stone was originally gotten from the river of Antique, Philippines. I personally cut and polished the stone so I can assure its ingenuity.

The metal setting around the stone is made from an old peso coin and the chain is made from pure silver.
